Young Persons Salisbury Chamber
Sunday, 31st January 2010
The Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the very first Salisbury & District Young Chamber of Commerce is now set up and is an active working Chamber.
Salisbury Chamber has been working closely with Richard Larcombe at Wyvern College who teaches Business Studies with Wyvern College, St Joseph’s and St Edmunds. Within this class of students, the Young Chamber has now been formed; there is a full working Board in operation and this Board is working towards putting together a networking event for businesses.
The Young Chamber comprises of a President, two Vice Presidents, Finance Director, Operations Director, Marketing Director, IT Director and nine Committee Members.
ReQuire Recruitment, Wiltshire College and Hudson Green have all kindly donated funding to the Young Chamber however; the President, two Vice Presidents and the Finance Director must pitch their networking idea to the three companies to secure this money. Any profit they make from the funds is theirs to keep.
This year the Young Chamber is entering a team into the annual Swimathon organised by the Rotary Club to raise funds for the worthy causes.
The Young Chamber has already designed their logo to kick-start their branding. The idea behind the logo is the blue and yellow represent the three schools together and the city of Salisbury, the Spire is from the Salisbury Chamber’s logo to represent the link and the blue wave signifies the rivers that run through Salisbury. The Chamber has also set up a Facebook page and will soon have a website up and running.
The Salisbury & District Chamber will very soon be launching their new website in the next few weeks and the Young Chamber has a page dedicated to them, all details of the above events will be available in this page –
