Financial planning and wealth management business is on the expansion trail as it relocates to larger premises within a leading business park in Salisbury.

Argentis signed a five-year lease on the 2,798 sq ft (260 sq m) first floor of Unit 1 at Salisbury Office Park, for an undisclosed rent, in a deal handled by regional commercial property consultancy Myddelton & Major.

The firm of independent financial planners were previously in a neighbouring office at the park, which is occupied by 21,500 sq ft (1,997 sq m) anchor tenant and regional law firm Trethowans.

Argentis’ arrival means Unit 1 is fully occupied, with the ground floor occupied by Brunton Business Publications, which publishes titles in the global packaging industry and in the competition clay target shooting and real estate sectors.

Robert Collom and Nigel Turner, both chartered and certified financial planners, head up the 12-strong Wiltshire office of Argentis, which also has operations in London, Kent and Surrey.

Nigel said: “The relocation to larger premises within the park, which has sweeping views of the countryside, superb transport links and local amenities, reflects our aspirations as we continue to expand.

“We established the Salisbury office in October 2008 and are delighted to have already recorded a profit, which is no mean feat bearing in mind the recent economic downturn.

“I’d also like to thank Myddelton & Major for enabling our move through their trademark professionalism.”

Dean Speer of Salisbury-based Myddelton & Major acted for office park developer Danescroft, a commercial property developer headquartered in London.

He said: “Argentis acted to the letter and we have now called ‘full house’ on two-storey Unit 1.

“As market conditions improve we anticipate new levels of interest in Unit 2, which has three floors covering a total of 8,754 sq ft (813 sq m) and is available lease or freehold.

“There is a lack of Grade A-quality offices in and around Salisbury, so we’re confident Salisbury Office Park will continue to attract discerning companies.”

The office park is on the A30 London Road, on the north-west outskirts of the city, and is situated next to a park-and-ride hub and health and fitness club Parkwood.

Argentis provides bespoke financial planning and wealth management services that help clients throughout various stages of their lives.

Their independent status allows them to access a comprehensive range of financial products and services.

The firm was established in 2005 and the Salisbury office opened in October 2008, headed up by Bob Collom and Nigel Turner, who were previously with locally based AWD Chase de Vere Wealth Management.

Argentis regularly works alongside well-known accountants and solicitors and can be contacted on 01722 343130.
